• If aghor is state of mind, then what are these Himalayee and Girnaree schools of Aghoris?
Based upon geographical location and time etc. People have partitioned themselves, in Himalayee and Girnaree traditions. Mode of living also played an important role in this partition. There are indeed several ways to improve the mental status. It is not true that to happen. Irrespective of nationality and religion, when a person’s mind set reaches a point where hatred, then he attains to an Aghor state.
• Isn’t it true Aghor tradition is a minority?
Yes, we are a minority; however, you know that there is only one sun there are millions of stars, Pandavas were only five, where as kauravas were hundred; Rama had only one face whereas Ravana had ten. So, minority or majority is not an issue. It is the capacity which makes the difference. You will witness everything if you stay on right path. It is very simple. If you understand us, then the whole society will also understand us.
• Your Guru has decided to integrate the Aghor tradition in society. Does it mean that from now on, new Aghors will be hard to recognize because they will live in society like everybody else?
Yes, that is true. It will not be obvious to recognize them anymore. The only way people would know is by coming in close contact. Now the behaviour and not the appearance will tell that you are an Aughar. And that is where it will differ from the old style. If your behaviour is unacceptable, then no matter whose disciple you are, people won’t believe that and neither would they trust you. Earlier, people thought you are an Aughar just from your appearance and that created problems and confusion among people. That way this Guru - based tradition will continue.
